Unscheduled Maintenance – The December Bonus And All

Please accept our sincere apology for there was unexpected down time and the systems of Sublime Revenue were not functioning for a while. Here is the truth behind it in key points:

• Our tech team had to apply updates and also flash firmware of server components to avoid newly discovered loopholes to be abused and prevent newly discovered errors to occur as suggested by both our server vendor and server manufacturer.
• We had to restart the systems in order to apply updates.
• We wanted to do it without this affecting the systems as advised by the vendor and as described in the documentation of the hardware manufacturers.

So far so good. Standard procedure, updates in background, nobody notices, everything keeps working… But what happened? While working on this carefully crafted update plan, the connection to the systems timed out. In order to prevent failure, we achieved failure. 🙂 Thank you very much, failure! Now we know better! And you?

What could we do to compensate the affiliate for all this? Being honest on what happened? Not enough. Not to me. Since it’s all Christmasy here and quite Holidayish there, we decided to bump up the revenue till the end of the year by 10% effective immediately. Enjoy!
